Proposals
The proposals comprise a sustainable mix of studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments for rent, with shared amenity space within a landscaped setting. The plans include:
- Redevelopment of an underutilised office building which has some limited surface parking
- The building rises from nine to maximum of eleven storeys, reflecting the height of existing buildings in the site’s surroundings
- 170 purpose-built city centre apartments in a mix of sizes, including family units
- Communal spaces and amenities for residents
- Landscaping, planting, and creation of a roof garden allowing for impressive city views
- Delivery/drop off/loading bays to facilitate access and ease of movement in/out
- Cycle storage
- Further regeneration of Leeds’ south bank and with easy access to Leeds station
- Sensitive design and use of building materials which complement the site surroundings
- Necessary wind mitigation following a comprehensive wind assessment
